Day 1 Yangon - Kyaiktiyo (B)
Early morning drive through the scenic countryside east of Yangon for about 280 kilometres to Kyaiktiyo. The journey leads to one of the most important holy places of Burma, the Golden Rock. The "Golden Rock" is a huge round rocks which almost seems to hover on the edge of a cliff. This rock and the small chedi are completely covered with gold leaf by diverse pilgrims. The chedi on the Golden Rock is supposed to be home to a hair of Buddha. Upon arrival at the base camp in Kyaiktiyo transfer by open truck to the trail for a short climb to the summit. Watch the sunset at the famous Golden Rock. Overnight in Kyaiktiyo.
Day 2 Kyaiktiyo - Bago - Yangon (B)
After breakfast drive back to the base camp and further to Yangon. Stop in Bago and visit the famous Shwemawdaw Pagoda and the lying Buddha Shwethalyaung. Then visit a war cemetery of allied troops in the vicinity of Htaukkyan and a bamboo plant. In the afternoon arrive in Yangon.
